Privacy Policy

RecruitRoam is built around parent-controlled family workspaces. A parent or legal guardian creates the account and may add basic athlete planning information. The athlete's shared trip view does not require an account.

Information collected

We store account contact information, family members you invite, athlete and student planning details, home-base text and optional coordinates, self-planned visits, public events, private invitations, trip details, academic interests, checklists, meals, expenses, school rankings, and feedback. We also receive routine security and request logs from our hosting providers.

How it is used

We use this information to operate the family workspace, calculate and display trip plans, support school comparisons, send account and family invitations, improve the product, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell family or athlete personal information.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application, Neon provides isolated database storage, and Resend delivers transactional email. Routing or geocoding requests may send locations to mapping providers when a family asks to build a route. Their own privacy terms also apply.

Sharing and public contributions

Self-planned visits and private invitations remain inside the family workspace. If a parent explicitly chooses to contribute an opportunity to the community, personally identifying text is not published. Public school, academic program, coach, venue, and athletic-program facts come from public official sources.

Children and parent control

The service is intended for parents and guardians managing a family's college and recruiting process, not for children under 13 to create accounts independently. Contact us if you believe a child's information was provided without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

Retention, access, and deletion

Workspace owners can request correction, export, or deletion. Account deletion removes the family workspace and its associated planning data from the active database, subject to short-lived security backups and legal requirements.

Security and contact

We use private sessions, password hashing, single-use tokens, and household-scoped data access. No service is perfectly secure. Send privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests to haring.nathan+prospect@gmail.com.
