Privacy Policy

RecruitRoam provides private workspaces that a student age 13 or older or a parent or legal guardian may create. The workspace creator decides whether to invite parents, students, or trusted supporters, each with a separate sign-in.

Information collected

We store account contact information, family members you invite, athlete and student planning details, home-base text and optional coordinates, self-planned visits, public events, private invitations, trip details, academic interests, checklists, meals, expenses, school rankings, and feedback. We also receive routine security and request logs from our hosting providers.

How it is used

We use this information to operate the private workspace, calculate and display trip plans, support school comparisons, send account and family invitations, improve the product, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell student or family personal information.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application, Neon provides isolated database storage, and Resend delivers transactional email. Routing or geocoding requests may send locations to mapping providers when a user asks to build a route. Their own privacy terms also apply.

Sharing and public contributions

Saved schools, self-planned visits, comments, and private invitations remain inside the workspace unless a user deliberately shares something. If a user explicitly contributes an opportunity to the community, personally identifying text is not published. Public school, academic program, coach, venue, and athletic-program facts come from public sources and are labeled with sources and freshness where available.

Children and parent control

Children under 13 may not create an account. A parent or guardian must create and manage the workspace for them. Contact us if you believe personal information from a child under 13 was provided without appropriate parental involvement.

Retention, access, and deletion

Workspace owners can request correction, export, or deletion. Account deletion removes the workspace and its associated planning data from the active database, subject to short-lived security backups and legal requirements.

Security and contact

We use private sessions, password hashing, single-use tokens, and household-scoped data access. No service is perfectly secure. Send privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests to haring.nathan+prospect@gmail.com.
